Portview, East Belfast
We’re developing a planting scheme for a new living museum in the heart of East Belfast at a former linen mill. The project is really interesting in part because it’s redefining the premise of what a museum is. This one has a vinyl record shop as part of the space, will hold club nights as well as educational workshops and is all based around the presence of Banana’s!
The team at Urban Scale Interventions are the creatives behind the project. Our task is to create an installation of Banana’s and other species that will form an enclosure and immersive space within the museum. Why Banana’s? See below for more info.
The building is just a sublime statement of early 20th century industrial spaces and couldn’t be more inspiring.
