How could we bring tranquility to SW1?

This tiny garden is one of the smallest projects we’ve done but was ultimately incredibly rewarding.  Our clients were updating and carrying out an extensive renovation of their townhouse and the garden needed a similar treatment.  The space needed to be soft, comfortable and yet filled with intrigue.  The design is held together by the water that runs though it, beginning from a simple lead pipe, the water tracks it’s way slowly through planting before descending in to a well near the rear of the house.  The planting is a mixture of perennials and grasses that have to work really hard to create the atmosphere needed.  The coolness of the water is balanced by the bioethanol fire that provides a glow and comfort in the evening whilst lounging on the armchairs with a drink.
