How do you blur a parkland landscape into a domestic setting?

The Forth Valley Maggie’s Centre sits within the former parkland of Lambert House near Falkirk. Most of the surrounding parkland is managed beautifully by the Forestry Commission. Our task was to create a softer, more enclosed space for the centre that enabled staff and users the chance to have group sessions outside, be that singing, tai chi or smaller intimate spaces for one to one counselling. The concrete elements from the Maggie’s Chelsea garden were relocated here as phase 1 of the project.
