Large Family Garden

How do we breathe new life into an existing garden?

The garden of this house had originally been laid out in the 60’s with a replacement house built 10 years ago.  The plot had some fantastic trees within it and a wonderful yew hedge that divided the lower garden from the main area, the one problem for the clients was the disconnect from the main terrace with the garden.  We were interested in finding a solution that created intrigue and curiosity encouraging the family and their guests to walk out and explore the wider garden.  The concept of a series of stepped terraces split with generous planting areas enabled us to bring the garden right up to the house.
